Denim Dishing

Is there anything better than a perfect-fit, favorite pair of jeans? I think not. Am I prone to superlatives? I think so. Still, I mean it when I say, I LOVE my jeans! I probably own more than 50 pairs, though I can’t say for certain since I haven’t ventured into the recesses of my closet of late, so overrun as it is with the detritus of neglected fashion finds. But, I digress (and over share).

My jeans are my daily go-tos. If I’m racing to get the girls to school and don’t want to look schlubby? Jeans! Have a lunch meeting and don’t want to look overdone? Jeans! Date night with the hubby and want to look hot? Say it with me now…Jeans! Yes, this blue (or black, or white, and sometimes red) wardrobe staple has always got my back (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

I have no brand loyalty either. Hmmm, let’s spin that positive and say instead, I’m an equal opportunity denim lover. I’ve embraced everything from Seven to Joe’s, Joie to Levi’s, Sass & Bide to Frame, Paige to Hudson. If a swath of denim gives me good booty, thereby boosting my confidence and swagger, I’m all in.

The distressed little numbers pictured here are Dylan George, and, like most of my jeans, I discovered them on a shoot and fell head over heels. They have never, not once, let me down. How many other things (or people) in life can we say that about? The title of my next book just came to me... Me and My Jeans: A Love Story. Stay tuned... xo
