BIO

Amanda Luttrell Garrigus is a fashion journalist, entertainment reporter and television host with more than twenty years of industry experience. She has brought her light, playful sensibility and her intelligent perspective to shows including E! News, Good Day LA, KTLA Morning News and for the last five years Access Hollywood, where she continues to act as Fashion Correspondent. In her role as the “Fashion Guru” for E!’s hit entertainment news show, The Daily 10, and her appearances on the network’s live Emmy and Oscar red carpet broadcasts, Amanda became the first Black fashion expert on national television, paving the way for all those who followed. Amanda is also an accomplished editor and author and was the youngest Editor-in-Chief of Angeleno, Los Angeles’ most important fashion/lifestyle magazine. She has worked for a variety of magazines including Allure, Vogue and Glamour where she was the Assistant West Coast Editor.

 

For many years she held the post of Los Angeles Correspondent for Flare magazine, writing celebrity cover features for their million plus readers. She has interviewed Hollywood’s A-List including Jennifer Lawrence, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Mandy Moore, Zoe Saldana, Vanessa Hudgens and Gabrielle Union-Wade (who played a character named after Amanda in the Paramount Pictures’ thriller, Abandon). Amanda wrote interior designer Kelly Wearstler’s coffee table book, Rhapsody for Rizzoli press, and has collaborated with major brands including Starbucks for whom she acted as spokesperson at New York Fashion Week. Her volunteer engagements include Co-Chairing the annual fundraising Gala for Los Angeles private school The Center for Early Education, raising a record breaking $1.5 million for the institution. 

 

Amanda’s most important and impactful role to date is mom to Sophie, a current Harvard Junior, and Emma, a young teen and emerging fine artist. She learns from them daily. Amanda currently lives in Los Angeles with her writer/producer husband, and is at work on a beauty and wellness podcast which she will host and produce.
